Antimicrobial

Every NUCLEAR FLOOR is made with an integral EPA-registered antimicrobial component to impede the growth of microorganisms, thus providing long term protection from a broad spectrum of bacteria, fungi, yeast, actinomycetes and mildew. This protects your floor from germ- and odor-causing microorganisms, thus repelling objectionable odors.
While some floor systems contain an antimicrobial dispersion only in the sealer, leaving the floor vulnerable from underneath or when gouged, we incorporate an antimicrobial dispersion throughout the epoxy flooring system.

Easy to clean

Clean your floor using detergent and water. Dirt and grime are easily removed because the floor is non-porous. In foodservice, medical or restroom areas where the floor is exposed to chemicals we recommend washing your floors with a deck brush and rinsing off the wash water thoroughly on a daily (or nightly) basis. NUCLEAR FLOORS can also be pressure washed if necessary.

NUCLEAR FLOORS are seamless and nonporous. The cove base is a continuous part of the floor. Doorjambs, cooler walls, pipes, and wires protruding out of the floor are all sealed off, and drains are completely sealed in. Insects will not be able to come in and out of these otherwise accessible areas, as all of these areas will be sealed off with epoxy.

Because NUCLEAR FLOORS are seamless, there are no group joints and no cracks and crevices where insects can hide. They can neither live in the walls and slab nor come and go freely through the floor.

Because it’s trowelable, you can create a cove base of any height. NUCLEAR FLOORS are a monolithic, resin-rich, troweled-on system that forms a physical bond between the existing material and the surface it is being applied to and vulcanizes them together. The compound made is so tightly bonded together that corrosive materials cannot penetrate to begin the deterioration process. NUCLEAR FLOORS are not adhered to the floor, rather it is the adhesive. Under stress conditions, the concrete will break instead of your epoxy floor’s bond.

NUCLEAR FLOORS have a textured finish. It is made with small natural marble stones. This textured finish creates a slip-resistant flooring. In some applications, such as in a commercial kitchen, an additional grit is added to the glaze coat giving it added slip resistance. Different applications require different levels of slip-resistance.
